Uzbekistan to host a major event in the economic life of the country
As previously reported, on March 5-6, Tashkent will host the first International Investment Forum and the meeting of the Foreign Investors Council.
It is expected that this international forum, initiated by the Head of the state Shavkat Mirziyoyev will become an important event that will bring together over 1,500 representatives of foreign and local companies, investors, experts and foreign media workers.
The program of the forum provides for workshops and roundtable discussions on such issues as openness for business, deepening regional ties, and introducing technological innovations.
The purpose of the forum is to familiarize representatives of the public and the international business world with the opportunities created in the country for doing business by foreign companies, attracting investments in such leading sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan as finance, industry, tourism and others.
In addition, participants will learn about the latest innovations in regional development, the digital technologies and alternative energy.
The forum will bring together representatives of the government, heads of banking and financial institutions, insurance companies, enterprises, agencies and associations, who will be able to discuss the latest trends in the investment sphere and forward relevant proposals.
Issues of wide attraction of foreign direct investment in the regions and such sectors as energy, mechanical and electrical engineering, information technology, agriculture, textile, food industry, construction, will be discussed at the forum.
