Uzbekistan – Belarus cooperation expands
A meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Belarus was held at the International business center within the framework of the visit of the delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Rusy to Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by heads of ministries and agencies, companies of the two countries responsible for such areas as foreign economic relations, trade, industry, investment, banking and financial sector, agriculture and water management, food processing, tourism, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and electrical engineering.
Activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on bilateral cooperation have a special place in development of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations, the meetings of which are important for bringing Uzbekistan – Belarus cooperation to a qualitatively new level, filling it with concrete content.
The sides discussed current issues of cooperation in trade-economic, tourism, cultural-humanitarian, and a number of other areas.
Following the meeting, a Protocol was signed and a plan of measures on further strengthening relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus for 2019-2020 was approved.
