The largest German business delegation to visit UzbekistanOn May 14-16, 2018, the largest delegation in the history of bilateral cooperation, German business circles will visit Uzbekistan. The visit is organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany together with the Eastern Committee of German Economy and the Germany – Uzbekistan Business Council.
According to the Embassy, the delegation includes more than 70 representatives of German companies working in production of construction materials, agricultural machinery, automotive, chemical and electrical industries, construction, banking, tourism, services, etc.
Representatives of such world-famous companies as Siemens, MAN, BASF, Nokia, TUI Group, SAP, Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank, as well as a large group of representatives of small and medium business are among the delegation members.
And if many large German companies that are members of the delegation already have partners in Uzbekistan and implement joint projects, most small and medium-sized businesses that visit our country for the first time are interested in establishing contacts with local entrepreneurs in order to establish cooperation.
Within the framework of the visit of the German business delegation, a business forum and B2B meetings are planned to be held on May 15 in Tashkent International Hotel.
On the same day, the 4th meeting of the Germany – Uzbekistan Business Council will be held in Tashkent, and the next day the delegation members will take part in the solemn ceremony of launching a new production line of the Knauf Gips plant in Bukhara region.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation will also visit the territory of the former Algorithm plant, where a German industrial zone is planned to be created. In addition, meetings of members of the delegation with representatives of various enterprises of Uzbekistan, visits to the regions of the republic are planned for discussing prospects of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation. As a result of these events, it is planned to sign a number of bilateral documents aimed at implementing joint projects.
The upcoming visit of such a representative delegation of German business to Uzbekistan can be considered as another vivid testimony to recognition of large-scale socio-economic reforms in Uzbekistan, which are of great interest in Germany.
