On November 22, Tashkent City International Business Center hosted Uzbekistan – Italy business forum and G2B negotiations within the framework of the visit of Italian delegation to Uzbekistan led by Governor of Lombardy region Attilio Fontana.

The event was organized to intensify and expand trade-economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry A. Ikramov, Governor of Lombardy region A. Fontana noted the accelerated development of economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy in recent years.

Views were exchanged and proposals were made during the negotiations on business cooperation.

Currently, 29 enterprises with participation of Italian capital and the Representative Office of the Chamber of Commerce Italy – Uzbekistan operate in Uzbekistan.

Business circles’ meeting served as a basis for revision of directions of cooperation and signing of perspective contracts.
