Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan held a meeting of the Turkic Business Council in Tashkent.

The event was attended by about 300 representatives of business circles of the member states of the Turkic Council, over 200 representatives of ministries and agencies, industrial associations and entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan.

During his speech, the Secretary General of Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev praised the ongoing large-scale transformations in Uzbekistan in the field of state and public construction, liberalization of the economy, improving the business environment and investment climate.

At the meeting, issues of developing trade and economic cooperation between member states and organizations, strengthening regional cooperation in trade, industry and entrepreneurship were discussed.

The parties also considered the issue of joining of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan into the membership of the Turkic CCI.
