The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Italy has organized an online opening ceremony of Veneto Trade House in the city of Termez.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic, Agostino Pinna, the Founder and Head of Veneto Trade House Sergey Tsurkan, the co-founder of the Trade House from the Uzbek side – the head of Chinni Oy Servis company Beknazar Nuriddinov, representatives of the hokimiyats of Surkhandarya region and the city of Termez, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, Export Promotion Agency and others.

The project, which was being prepared for about 6 months, will contribute to enhancing cooperation in the export of products made in Uzbekistan, in particular silk, textiles and dried fruits to Italy, attracting Italian investments and advanced technologies to the region.

It is planned to open the same trade houses in the cities of Karshi and Tashkent.

At the event, the parties discussed the implementation of a number of joint investment projects, including projects in disposal and processing of solid household waste, production of armored, shielded, fire-resistant cables, aircraft maintenance and telemedicine.
