Uztuqimachiliksanoat (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association hosted a meeting with the delegation of the French state investment bank Bpifrance led by the Regional Director Emmanuel Breschard with participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic, Violen Biyet de Vilmore.

The French side noted the economic achievements of the country in recent years, as well as ongoing political reforms, improving the business climate and investment attractiveness.

The French side expressed interest in investing joint projects in Uzbekistan. Emmanuel Breschard proposed to finance projects in the textile sector. In particular, the supply of French technologies and equipment to Uzbekistan market was discussed.

As reported by the Press Service of Uztuqimachiliksanoat Association, following the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached on attracting major companies and financial institutions of France to implementation of joint investment projects in the textile industry.
