Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in 2 months amounted to $3,9 billionAccording to the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in January-February 2018 amounted to 3,9 billion US dollars, including exports – $1,5 billion and the imports $2,4 billion. The foreign trade balance amounted minus $939,4 million.
Exports of energy carriers and petroleum products has increased 2.7 times compared to the same period last year, due to export of natural gas by 3.8 times, machinery and equipment – by 79.7%, including cable-conductor products by 4.7 times, transformers and accumulators by 2.0 times, electric heaters and electrothermal devices by 2.8 times.
The volume of exports of food products increased by 48.2%, due to an increase in exports of wheat by 3.1 times, fruits and vegetables – by 36.9%.
In the structure of imports, the main share falls on machinery and equipment – 36.7% and chemical products – 14.9%.
The main foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan among the CIS countries are Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, which account for 40.7% of the foreign trade turnover, among other countries – China, Turkey, the Republic of Korea, Afghanistan, Germany, Latvia, the United States, India, which account for 40.9% of the total foreign trade turnover.
