The Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Treaties Senior Specialist at Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Bader Al Mufgai.

The delegation includes representatives of structures responsible for the economy and trade, more than 20 companies operating in food, textile industries, agriculture, mineral resources, construction, electronics and others.

The parties discussed current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia with an emphasis on prospects for their further development and strengthening, especially in trade, economic and investment fields.

Treaties Senior Specialist at SAGIA Bader Al Mufgai noted that this meeting will give a powerful impetus to development of economic ties between the two countries, in particular, it will facilitate the investment of Saudi Arabia in Uzbekistan.

Presentations were held on the investment, tourism and export potential of Uzbekistan, free economic and small industrial zones.

Views were exchanged on the schedule and agenda of the upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels.

On October 1, Uzbekistan – Saudi Arabia business forum was held in Namangan region, as well as presentation of investment projects in the region, and B2B meetings with local entrepreneurs.
