As of January 1, 2020, 531 companies with Chinese capital appeared in Uzbekistan in 2019.

In accordance with the analytical information on the demography of enterprises and organizations with the status of legal entities, as of January 1, 2020, 531 companies with Chinese capital appeared in Uzbekistan in 2019.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the data obtained indicate an increase in confidence of Chinese entrepreneurs and investors in Uzbekistan. Therefore, China took the first place in the number of companies created in Uzbekistan in 2019. To date, 1652 companies with Chinese capital are already operating in the country.

Despite such rapid growth, China ranks the second in terms of the number of joint ventures operating in Uzbekistan. Russia continues to hold the lead in this rating, through the capital of which 1828 companies were created, 401 of which were opened in 2019. Turkey is in the third place with 1271 companies, 397 of which began their activities last year.

Most of the enterprises created with participation of foreign capital are located in Tashkent and Tashkent region.
