CCI of Uzbekistan and the CCI of Georgia signed an Agreement on CooperationDelegation of Uzbekistan took part in the eighth meeting of Uzbekistan – Georgia intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
The government delegation from Uzbekistan was represented by Minister for Foreign Trade Jamshid Khajayev, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Utkir Butayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Investments Shamil Burnashev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Development of Tourism Shakhrukh Sharakhmedov.
The meeting of the intergovernmental commission was headed by the First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Dimitry Kumsishvili.
A number of events were held during the visit. Within two days, the first Georgia – Uzbekistan business forum was held between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Georgia, a roundtable meeting between Uzbekistan and Georgia and B2B meeting with participation of business circles of the two countries.
The forum was attended by more than 12 representatives of large Uzbekistan’s and 70 Georgia’s companies engaged in production of wine and vodka products, automotive and light industry, pharmaceuticals, construction.
Within the framework of the 8th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, an Agreement on cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia was signed, which will undoubtedly give a new impetus to the development and strengthening of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
