Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with China delegation led by Vice-Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, Li Zhigang.

On December 12, 2019, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with China delegation led by Vice-Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, Li Zhigang. Prospects for development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as opportunities for expanding partnership in international arbitration were discussed at the meeting.

At the meeting, the head of Chinese delegation expressed his gratitude to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the reception and emphasized the importance of creating open and mutually beneficial trade relations with Uzbekistan. In turn, the Chinese side noted a significant increase in the interest of Chinese business in the fast-growing economy of Uzbekistan, as well as the expansion of mutual trade between the two countries.

At the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of expanding cooperation in international arbitration, establishing partnership between Tashkent International Arbitration Center and Shanghai International Arbitration Center on the issues of exchange of experience in resolving disputes through international arbitration, preparing international arbitrators for Uzbekistan, as well as attracting foreign arbitrators to dispute resolution.
