Bishkek hosts a workshop on issues of Halal Industry
On June 20-21, Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) hosted a workshop on “Establishing trust in international Halal trade”. The event was organized by the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ within the framework of implementation of the cooperation plan “Trade facilitation in Central Asia” jointly with the Secretariat of the International Halal Accreditation Forum (IHAF) and the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On June 20-21, Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) hosted a workshop on “Establishing trust in international Halal trade”. The event was organized by the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ within the framework of implementation of the cooperation plan “Trade facilitation in Central Asia” jointly with the Secretariat of the International Halal Accreditation Forum (IHAF) and the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.The workshop was attended by representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. Issues of promotion of global Halal trade, Halal supply chain system and its provision, as well as Halal standardization and technical regulation, conformity assessment and requirements for Halal logistics and tourism were considered at the event. A visit to local manufacturing companies, implemented the requirements of Halal standards was also held.
As reported by the Press Service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this workshop was held with participation of the Secretary-General of the International Halal Accreditation Forum (IHAF) Mohamed Saleh Badri, representatives of accreditation and certification bodies of Central Asia, entrepreneurs, representatives of government agencies and ministries, as well as spiritual offices and associations.
