Best projects identifiedAt the Babur musical drama and comedy theatre of Andijon Region, the regional phase of the “Enterprising girls’ best project” contest has taken place.
The contest was conducted by the regional women’s committee together with the regional directorate of the central bank, the regional directorate of the secondary special education and vocational training and the regional department of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Uzbekistan in conformity with tasks of the2017-2021 Action Strategy on five priority areas of the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
48 young entrepreneurs submitted their business projects.
“The main goal of the contest is to identify girls’ abilities and potential for entrepreneurial work, to provide financial support for promising business projects and to create new jobs. Of 20 thousand graduates of 117 vocational colleges in the region, 2,870 girls expressed a desire to engage in entrepreneurial activity. Members of the local headquarters for help with employment held conversations with them. 2,273 girls’ business projects were selected. More than 500 seminars were conducted for them on such issues as obtaining credits, doing business and tax privileges,” says F. Buzrukov, the chief of the regional directorate of the secondary special education and vocational training.
A graduate of the Pahtaobod agricultural vocational college, F.Qahramonova, and a graduate of the Marhamat agricultural vocational college, M.Rayimjonova, won “the best girl entrepreneur in the production sphere” nomination.
A graduate of the Marhamat agro-industrial vocational college, M.Yusupova, and a graduate of the Andijon industrial transportation vocational college, S.Tursunova, won “the best girl entrepreneur in the agricultural sphere” nomination.
They obtained the right to participate in the republican phase of the contest.
Representatives of the regional directorate of the central bank gave 42 participants certificates for preferential credits.
