Committee on interethnic relations and friendly ties with foreign countries at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a festive event dedicated to the Day of Memory and Honor, in “Dustlik” park, in Tashkent.
At the festive event dedicated to the Day of Memory and Honor and the 73rd Anniversary of Victory in the World War II, the President noted that our people admire the feat of respected veterans, workers of the rear, consider a sacred duty to honor the memory of servicemen, law enforcement officers who died in the name of freedom of our independent homeland, peace and tranquility of people, take care of their families and children.
International seminar on “Communication with the future: The role of media in promoting cultural heritage” was organized and is being held in Uzbekistan in cooperation with Radio-Television Supreme Council of Turkey (RTUK).

At the event held in Tashkent Botanical Garden, dedicated to the Day of Memory and Honor, as well as to the 73rd Anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that in 1941-1945 Uzbekistan became an all-Union hospital. Thousands of soldiers and officers received necessary treatment here and returned to the front and work in the rear.
It is an eternal value for us to remember the sacred memory, continue the noble deeds of our ancestors who sacrificed their lives for today’s peaceful and tranquil days, demonstrating the example of irreplaceable will and courage in the fight against invaders and oppressive forces, preservation of honor and dignity of our people.
